After redesigning Gay City’s health services portal, engagement with core services increased by 40%, navigation issues decreased by 25%, and missed appointments dropped by 20%. These improvements were achieved through a mobile-first design, simplified navigation, and the use of inclusive language and imagery. By focusing on user needs, we made accessing HIV testing, counseling, and other vital services more intuitive and inviting for LGBTQ+ users, particularly those with limited digital skills. This redesign successfully enhanced accessibility and improved the overall user experience.
